Day 1: Valletta
Your journey begins in Valletta, Malta's capital city. Wander the narrow streets and discover Baroque architecture, colorful balconies and impressive fortifications. Visit St. John's Cathedral with its richly decorated interior or enjoy the panoramic view from the Barrakka Gardens over the Grand Harbour. Embark between 4 and 5 pm and the cruise departs at 6 pm.
Day 2: Syracuse
After breakfast, you will have the choice to explore Syracuse with a guide. On the island of Ortigia, walk through narrow streets past historic squares and the imposing Duomo. At the fountain of Arethusa, enjoy the view over the bay. In the Archaeological Park, discover with your guide the Greek theater and the Ear of Dionysius, known for its special acoustics. Or choose a trip to Noto, where you stroll through baroque streets past golden churches and elegant palaces.
Day 3: Taormina
Today you'll visit Taormina, a jewel on Sicily's east coast. Start your day with a visit to the medieval center, located 300 meters above sea level, and find a spot on the terrace of one of the local cafes with spectacular views of the Mediterranean Sea. Then take a walk along the ruins of the Greco-Roman theater, which is exceptionally well preserved.
Day 4: Otranto
On the third day, the ship docks in Otranto, located in the heel of Italy's boot. Enjoy the pleasant atmosphere of this seaside town and wander the narrow streets of the old center. Take a moment here to admire the beautiful 12th-century ornamental mosaic tiles and the impressive fortress walls.
Day 5: Bari
Today a short stop in Bari is scheduled. You walk through the historic center, a maze of narrow streets full of character. You will discover ancient churches, impressive squares and the imposing Basilica of St. Nicholas. Along the ramparts, you will enjoy stunning views of the Adriatic Sea. Conclude with a leisurely stroll along the promenade. By noon, you will return aboard the ship.
Day 6: Ancona
In the early morning, you'll arrive in Ancona, the lively capital of the Marche region. Stroll the atmospheric streets and discover the imposing Cathedral of Judas Cyriacus, with its white and pink marble facade. Admire the Arch of Trajan, which adorns the harbor, and visit the 15th-century mansion where the famous painter Raphael grew up. From Monte Conero, enjoy panoramic views of the Adriatic Sea.
Day 7: Ravenna
Your penultimate day starts with a visit to Ravenna, a city in northeastern Italy. Visit the UNESCO World Heritage-listed paleo-Christian monuments and admire the exquisite mosaics in the churches and basilicas. But Ravenna is more than just heritage: its lively squares and narrow streets have a relaxed atmosphere. Settle down on a terrace, taste local specialties and enjoy traditional Italian cuisine at your leisure.
Day 8-9: Venice
Your last stop is Venice, built on the water and unique in every detail. Stroll through St. Mark's Square, admire the golden mosaics in the basilica and visit the impressive Doge's Palace. Cruise along the Grand Canal and look out on stately palaces and ancient trading houses. End your trip in style with a glass of Spritz and some tramezzini on a terrace on one of the narrow waterways.
